At the age of 8 or 9 my parents gave me my first camera, on the day we went to Hampton Court. The very first picture I took was (a slightly wonky) picture of the gates into Hampton Court - I will never forget that day and from then on I was hooked.
My Dad was a very keen amateur photographer and belonged to the St Albans Photographic Society, where I joined and became (a very young) member.
When I look back through my life, photography has always played a big part - even on my own wedding day. The present from my 'hubby to be' was a new camera. I think I managed to take almost as many pictures that day as the official photographer (I am sure he must have thought I was mad!)
Having had a career in IT project management and more recently graphic design, I finally listened to my heart as well as my family and decided to make the move back to my initial passion and so Oliviabea Photography was born.
Oliviabea Photography is everything to me. It combines my love of meeting people, of design and creativity and of course photography.
I am a perfectionist and every aspect of each shoot is important, whether it is a wedding or a commercial project, a newborn baby or a large event.

... and perhaps most importantly, I am a Mum to my son and my daughter who are my world, along with my wonderful hubby and my big brown-eyed, stubborn Beagle. I love being out and about with my kids or climbing with my Cub Scouts and I have a strange affinity with Landrovers - but I'm probably happiest with a camera in my hand capturing these precious moments to live again and again.
